Mersal-Vijay speech and BJP controversy

Like any human beings, I too would like to get free stuff from the Government. More the better. But let us look at the comments logically and check if they are reasonable.
Vijay is stating that Singapore has 7% GST and it provides free medical care. The first part of the statement is correct but the second part is not. Singapore does not provide free medical care, but it is subsidized. Depending on a person’s monthly salary there are different rates of subsidies applied. People with no income, such as retirees or housewives, will have their subsidy rate pegged to the value of their homes. Please check out the details, Healthcare in Singapore - Wikipedia.
Another problem with this argument is the connections made between the GST and the medical care. Is the GST only tax collected by the Singapore government. They also have the income tax. 31% of the Singaporeans pay income tax. Do you know how many Indians pay income tax, 1.5%. That is not fifteen but one point five percent!!!
India imports a lot more than it exports. So we are basically bleeding money. We do not have the necessary income resources to patch that bleeding. There are enough projects and processes in the Indian system for the upliftment of the poor, but they are mismanaged or underutilized due to vested interests. On top of these, there are wasteful subsidies that do not go to the needy. A major chunk of it ends up with the middlemen or their relatives.
India has a huge number of problems and privacy will only increase the problems. What India needs is transparency. A country where millions of women folks are forced to bath or answer their natures call in the open does not need privacy. It is over-rated and a first world problem. Most issues that people point out about Aadhaar is the security of data by comparing it with US and British systems. They go on to say that US and British systems do not have biometrics as it violates privacy. But it is another way around. The sheer number of frauds that happen in the US and British systems is due to the lack of biometric system included in it. The frauds that have occurred on Aadhaar are due to sheer negligence on the part of the person involved. It is like saying that there should be no compulsory elections as there is a chance of booth capture or some other s#!t.
I am assuming the background of the scene based on the dialogue that Vijay murders someone. Do anyone thinks are that would be a reasonable solution to the problems in India. What will happen if everyone decides to take such actions for any injustice done? Indians have achieved freedom and democracy after paying a heavy price. It is not reasonable to lose it over jingoism.

At the end of all this, it would still have been worthwhile if it had not been reports like these.

He has been caught paying only partial taxes.

He did come back with a statement that he never evaded tax but he never confirmed if he only paid the tax partially that was owed by him.
